Tracy Miller, MS, LPC

Tracy MillerBorn and raised in Austin, Tracy graduated from the University of Texas with a BBA and an MPA in Accounting. After using the left side of her brain for eight years as a CPA, Tracy stayed home to care for her young children and later attended Baylor University, attaining her Master’s in Educational Psychology. Tracy has been counseling for over 12 years and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Tracy’s background is in counseling adolescents and adults (age 16 and older) for issues like depression, anxiety, relationship and parenting concerns, and trauma recovery. Tracy is passionate about her Christian faith and about her family, which includes her husband of 25+ years and two adult children. Tracy enjoys traveling and cooking and is interested in health and fitness.

Elizabeth Sherry, MS, LPC

Elizabeth SherryBorn and raised mostly in Oklahoma, with great interest in art and theater, Elizabeth received a Bachelor’s in Fine Art in Drama from the University of Oklahoma. It was there that she met her husband. They have called Waco “home” for several decades. From the mid- 80’s to the early 90’s Elizabeth served as director of religious education for her church, which led to her returning to school to obtain a Master’s in Educational Psychology at Baylor University and becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. Elizabeth has a strong background in treating abuse issues as well as depression, anxiety, and marriage and family concerns. She is a Certified Therapist in EMDR for trauma resolution. Her Christian faith is the underpinning for her world view and her work, believing that every person has immeasurable value.

Pam McKown, LCSW

Pam McKownPam has always had a heart for social issues and bringing justice and hope to those in need. She received her Masters in Social Work at Baylor University. Since graduation she has pursued being a real and authentic partner to journey with those suffering from mental health concerns. For 10 years she has worked at Scott and White in both the inpatient and outpatient setting serving those with mild to severe issues. She enjoys working with persons dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, phase of life concerns, wellness issues, and substance abuse issues. Pam seeks to pull from many different therapeutic models, such as cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, problem solving, and motivational interviewing. With this approach, she works to create a unique and individual experience for each person.

Pam lives in Waco and enjoys life with her 3 boys--husband, David and two sons, Matthew and Taylor.If not cheering on her boy’s football or soccer game, she enjoys running and cycling, time with family and friends, and a good book. In June 2015, she co-founded Take Heart Ministries, a non-profit that existsto build dignity, improve health, and restore hope to women who are homeless or in transition by providing them female hygiene products.

Melanie Curtis, LCSW

Melanie CurtisMelanie was born and raised in Midland, TX. She graduated from Baylor University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and received her Master of Social Work from Baylor University in 2006, with a concentration on Mental and Physical Health. Melanie began her social work career at the Waco Family Abuse Center as their children’s services coordinator, and developed their children’s program. She then worked as a clinical therapist on the child and adolescent unit at the DePaul Center Psychiatric Hospital. Melanie enjoys working with adolescents and adults for issues like depression, anxiety, anger management, low self-esteem, and behavioral issues. Melanie draws from many different theories, such as acceptance and commitment therapy, solution focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Melanie believes in a holistic approach to treatment in working with clients to help them achieve their goals.

Melanie lives in Waco with her husband and twin boys. She and her family are actively involved in their church community, and their Christian faith is a central piece to how they live their lives and interact with others. When she is not busy running around with her kids, Melanie enjoys playing piano, reading, sketching, and being outdoors.

Yoshiko Hall, PsyD

Yoshiko HallDr. Hall was born and raised in Japan, but has also lived in England, Ohio, California, Massachusetts, Illinois, New York, and Connecticut. She earned B.A. in Psychology from Biola University, M.S. in Applied Educational Psychology from Northeastern University, and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. After completing her internship at Stony Brook University, she became a staff psychologist at Baylor University Counseling Services. She works with adults in individual therapy, and is experienced in working with people who have a religious background, and those who do not. She also facilitates mindfulness meditation groups, and provides supervision to graduate students. She enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, listening to music, cooking and doing yoga. She lives in Hewitt with her husband.
